The owner is very good but there's been a couple times I've been right and he's been wrong. I think that might be the case right now. I have a Li. Lately when the RPM's drop when coming to a stop the engine stumbles. The other day during heavy raining it started to stall. The next day it did not. While pulling up next to a gas pump I hit the park button and it stalled at the same time, throwing a transmission fault code that disappeared as soon as I started the car again.

I did a little troubleshooting myself by disconnecting some vacuum line sensors and the air flow sensor. It ran better after removing the airflow sensor once it was already running, but if I removed the connector before starting the car, it would run rough. I let them know everything I did. Also, a key point is it has stalled in neutral as well.

The idle to me seems like a vacuum leak, if not maybe the DME sensor. Today the service shop I go to called and said the transmission is defective. I don't believe it is at all. I think this shop is good but I also think they might be depending on the fault codes a little to much. I work in technology and I know just because the computer says part A is reporting an issue does not mean there is really an issue there, just like the transmission fault kicked on when it stalled at the same time I was placing it in park.

Being it has stalled in neutral I especially don't believe it is the transmission.
